On Thursday evening, it is expected that the winner of HK Lotto’s record-breaking first division prize of HK$1.5 billion will be revealed, receiving approximately two times Hong Kong’s monthly average salary as part of an unprecedented jackpot that has steadily been rising since January 1.

If no first division prize winner emerges, their money will be added to a jackpot pool for future draws, increasing potential winnings. If there is still no winner after multiple attempts are made at selecting their number(s), or no winner emerges at all, then this fund may be distributed among second division prize winners according to lottery norms; currently it stands at an unprecedented HK$1.5 billion jackpot prize!

All those competing for this prestigious award should keep in mind that the judging panel has already seen many entries, and that submitting something good could make all the difference to their chances of becoming winners. Also worth keeping in mind is that their judging panel consists of both professionals and non-professionals to ensure fair judging processes.

Prize money payouts depend on various factors, including the number of players competing, prize pool size and the number of winners in each tournament. If no-one wins either the first or second prizes in a draw, those amounts will be added to a jackpot called Duo Bao Jiang for use at future draws – meaning 1st division prizes could potentially reach around HKD$100 Million, up from the usual 8 Million! This has happened several times already!
